Dr. Preeti Modi, it’s been 10+ years now since I am working as a psychologist. I have conducted various seminars, webinars & workshops based on art therapy for teachers, parents, students & corporate companies, which ended up in healthy and open discussions resulting in positive results.
I aim to continue doing what I stand by. I aim to bring the change in society by showcasing them that stress is treatable. We the mental health practitioners are here to help them find their peace and mental calm. Give us the opportunity to help you! One step at a time and we shall achieve our goals.
Mental health issues have been a taboo in our society since I can remember. Learning Psychology was a sheer step of interest which with the time escalated to become an aspect that needed the unfolding before the world. I kept taking steps ahead and got acquainted with intangible sickness humans are still dealing with unaware of its existence. Sooner I realized that the is the path I want to walk on and spread the awareness in the society how much of a damage our mental health issues are costing us. I had found my direction of growth.
I have also been a firm believer that one can incorporate their passion into their work and earn a living, and that is what exactly I navigated myself to do. I turned my passion for art & painting into a major tool to practice the analyses on my patients. I decided to do my Ph.D research on interpreting child through sketching & painting. Child’s choice of colors and strokes became my study & the tool of healing all within itself.
Like most of us, i too was blessed with incredible mentors and guide who helped me through my journey of Ph.D
My gratitude goes to Dr. Sonal Lavingia, who is Ph.D & D.Sc in the field Geopathic Stress Vastu and to Dr. R.M. Mehra who is Ph.D & D.Sc in the field of Interior Design and Scientific Vastu. they stood strong behind me and gave me the much needed support to achieve my goal. All of these would not have happened if my parents did not hold the trust in me. They stood strong behind me and pushed me further to reach where i had dreamt myself to be.
Mind is a very creative organ, it knows how to imagine, how to react, how to function in imaginative world, how to create stories. It’s mesmerizing as we go deeper into the very base of its functionality. I learn different aspect of mind & its ways with every new patient I treat. I get to discover a children’s way to showcasing their imaginations on a paper.
